There is no fee to join Dorset Pickleball Club! All of our sessions are pay and play!

Yes, absolutely! Pickleball is a beginner-friendly sport that's easy to learn but offers plenty of room for growth and improvement. We provide introductory sessions and beginner-friendly play opportunities to help new players get started.
Simply turn up and play, we provide all paddles, nets and balls for players. Majority of our players will have their own paddles which we recommend so you can master the game with your own equipment.
If you need any help or advice on paddles, please let us know and we can advise you on the best options available to suit your game. We're proud to be associated with British Paddle Brand CONVERT PICKLEBALL (www.convertpickleball.co.uk)where demos are available at all sessions so you can try before you buy!

Helping you improve your pickleball skills is really important to us and we offer a weekly development session on Thursdays.
We also offer ad hoc group coaching classes and small group sessions to help players of all levels improve on court skills, learn new techniques, and enhance your understanding of the game.
Our level 1 Pickleball Coaches can also offer 1-1 coaching, to help you get the best out of your game. Please get in touch if you're interested in any of coaching.
Yes, if you're interested in competitive play, there are lots of opportunities to participate in pickleball tournaments organised with other local clubs, regional competitions and leagues as well as national and international pickleball tournaments. Tournaments typically feature various divisions based on skill level and age.
We recommend you wear comfortable athletic clothing suitable for physical activity. This may include shorts, t-shirts, athletic tops, and we also have our own branded t-shirts.
Your footwear should be appropriate for court sports to ensure you can play safe and injury-free games.

If you're a regular player and would like to join DPC whilst you're in town, we'd love to have you along! Please send us an email with your details, dates you're visiting and your pickleball experience so we can ensure you are joining a session best suited to you. (DUPR rating if you have one is super helpful!) We recommend to reach out to us with as much notice as possible as our sessions fill up quickly and are offered first come first serve.
No, unfortunately we can't help with court hire. We are a pickleball club that plays across many different venues so we are only able to offer you to book onto our organised sessions. If you are looking to book a pickleball court you will need to contact the leisure centres direct.
